Eight years ago, Black Eyed Peas and Fergie separated their paths, breaking one of the most popular groups of the 2000’s. Internet freaked out when they posted about their reunion on social media, sparkling some comeback together clues.
The iconic reunion, where Will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, Taboo and Fergie were present, took place last weekend. As they announced, it was a moment to celebrate their birthdays, since three of them, Will.i.am, Taboo and Fergie, turned 50 this year. Moreover, Fergie posted some photos of this amazing link on social media, where se added the caption: “Finally got to break bread and celebrate our milestone birthdays together. What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love 🫛🫛♥️♥️.”
Nothing Confirmed Yet
The hangout sparked some rumors of a possible comeback, nevertheless, nothing has been confirmed yet. Fans speculated online about this being the beginning of a new group’s era. MSN platform collected several of these comments saying: “The post had fans going wild, and begging for Fergie to make some music with the band, with one writing: ‘We need new BEP [Black Eyed Peas] music with Fergie for history!’.” In addition, other fans posted about a future tour: “WE NEED A REUNION TOUR! pleaaasseee. WE need to see your little dum diddly “bust it, bust it” hops together again.”
However, two years ago, some of the band’s members tried to deny the possibility of Fergie joining back in the group. ET’s interviewer Denny Directo asked Will.i.am about Fergie’s potential reunion saying: “The streets are talking that Fergie is coming back to Black Eyed Peas, any truth to that?”.

To which the rapper answered ditching the real response with: “Fergie is always in our heart, she is doing a really awesome job raising Axl Jack and, you know, Black Eyed Peas at the moment are in the configuration from when we started the group back in 1995. So, we wish her the best, she is awesome.”
Fergie’s Separation From BEP
Fergie got out of the band back in 2018, in order to focus on her own path with motherhood and her solo projects. At the time, singer Will.i.am talked about her stepping out and their great relationship. “She knows where we’re at! We’re at the studio. And we love her, and she’s focusing on being a mom,” will.i.am added.
Furthermore, he declared that she has their full support. “That’s a hard job, and that’s what she really wants to do and we’re here for her, and she knows how to contact us for a retreat or a breakaway. It’s really the way Fergie designed it, so we’re respecting her design. We love Fergie, and we don’t want anything but awesomeness for her”, Will.i.am said.
