Canadian superstar Tate McRae just released her SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? deluxe album, following the original’s success. This new LP comes with four unreleased songs.
SO CLOSE TO WHAT???, released on November 27, 2025, comes as the popstar’s latest production. Moreover, it was released just when her outstanding Miss Possessive Tour ended, closing this stellar musical era.
The new deluxe album contains a total of 21 hits, since four unpublished tracks were launched. The Canadian artist posted on Instagram about this launch, saying: “Was writing so much poetry while I was on tour in Europe this year & wanted to finish off this era and year with a couple more songs for you guys”.
Nobody’s Girl, Anything But Love, Trying On Shoes and Horseshoe are the new tunes Tate surprises fans with. Tit for Tat is a brand-new hit as well included in SO CLOSE TO WHAT???, however it was released before as a single’s deluxe.
5 New Songs Added
Trying On Shoes is the new song that initiates the deluxe album. People said that this fire track stands out because of its “emotional deepness”. In addition, it counts with a production that includes melancholic tunes filled with string instruments. Fans online declared that it is “sad music Tate”, as it is closer to Tate’s vulnerability, pain and nostalgia.
According to fans, Anything But Love acts as a “post-breakup hymn”. This tune talks about a relationship that comes to an end and the difficulties after. In this hit we can see a more vulnerable and intimate Tate.

How do I want to change things?’ If people have an opinion on that, that’s their choice. If I can sleep well at night thinking about what I’m putting out there, then their opinions don’t matter”.
