Rosalía makes history by winning Best International Artist at the 2026 BRIT Awards. The Spanish star was one of the best moments of the night, starring onstage with Björk and then, getting a new BRIT award.
The Motomami artist was one of the main characters at the 46th edition of the BRIT Awards. Moreover, her performing onstage alongside Björk became one of the most commented moments of the evening.
However, her winning the BRIT prize on the International Artist of the Year took all the protagonism. Rosalía became the first and only Spanish artist to get this award in BRIT’s history. Furthermore, she was side to side in a category full of top stars such as Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.

While giving her speech, the Spanish artist was visibly touched as this is a big achievement in her career. “Thank you, oh my god. You know I was so grateful just to be here tonight, just to perform. So, this is insane,” the Reliquia singer admitted. It is a very big accomplishment as Rosalía makes history by winning Best International Artist, being the only Spaniard to achieve it.
Rosalía also took the time to celebrate how people and their culture can be so different. “It is such an honor to bring my music far from home and I would love to share this with all my peers who also make music in Spanish. You know, let’s keep celebrating the otherness, let’s keep celebrating different music, different cultures, different languages. I want to thank my mom, my family and my team for always having my back.”
Rosalía’s performance at the 2026 BRIT Awards
We have known that Rosalía was going to be one of the main courses on February 28’s night, as we are familiar with her live performances. Nevertheless, no one expected Björk coming out to perform their hit Berghain. The thing is that the Icelandic singer rarely gives live shows for some years now.

(Die Flamme dringt in mein Gehirn ein/ Wie ein Blei-Teddybär/ Ich bewahre viele Dinge in meinem Herzen auf/ Deshalb ist mein Herz so schwer/ Seine Angst ist meine Angst/ Seine Wut ist meine Wut/ Seine Liebe ist meine Liebe/ Sein Blut ist mein Blut/ Yo se muy bien lo que soy/ Ternura pa’l café/ Solo soy un terrón de azúcar/ Sé que me funde el calor/ Sé desaparecer/ Cuando tú vienes es cuando me voy)
(The flame penetrates my brain/ Like a lead teddy bear/ I keep many things in my heart/ That’s why my heart is so heavy/ His fear is my fear/ His anger is my anger/ His love is my love/ His blood is my blood/ I know very well what I am/ Tenderness for coffee/ I’m just a sugar cube/ I know the heat melts me/ I know how to disappear/ When you come is when I leave) – Berghain’s lyrics.
Everyone at Manchester’s Co-op Arena was surprised to be present at such a performance. This was without a doubt one of the most unforgettable moments of the night. To top it off, the artists decided to give it a little twist at the end of the song. While Berghain is already such an overwhelming song, they changed its end for the special event. A wave of electronic techno surrounded the stage, and everyone started dancing to the beat.
