Rihanna hints at her musical comeback after releasing a studio video and shocks the music industry. Fans went crazy when hearing the news as it has been ten years since her last album release. Her last studio production ANTI came out on January 28, 2016.
The artist for Barbados went on hiatus after her amazing musical run some years ago. Because of this, fans have been dreading the time when the iconic singer went back to the studio. Last week Rihanna posted a video called “A Day In Her Life” to her socials.
Rapidly, everyone noticed that at some point in the video she was seen entering a music studio. Moreover, she was surrounded by recording appliances, microphones and production equipment.

Furthermore, this surprise went almost completely unnoticed as her voice over made it seem like the most normal thing ever. “I still have to go to the studio after this and I have to make a Mardi Gras costume for my son after the studio,” she said as the video of her day went well until after 2 a.m. “Longest day ever.” As there have not been any official news of her musical come back, the video turned on every alarm.
However, these rumors have sparkled for some time now. Back in 2018, she admitted to Vogue that her next big production would be focused on reggae music. This changed two years later, when in 2020 she said that reggae would not be the main focus of her next album. After this, the superstar avoided any question related to her releasing new music.

Nevertheless, her latest production came out in 2022 when she participated in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s soundtrack. Lift Me Up was the last solitary song the Barbados artist has launched during her ten year hiatus. Now, Rihanna hints at her musical comeback.
Rihanna talking about making new music
On an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the We Found Love singer talked about her time away from music and her next move. “I think music is my freedom. I just came to that realization. I just cracked the code on what I really want to do for my next body of work. I am actually feeling really good about this. I know I kept saying this over the years.”
At the same interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna talked about the possible style of music her new production may have. However, she made it clear that while it will not have an specific genre, it will be something worth the wait. “There’s no genre now. That’s why I waited. Every time, I was just like, ‘No, it’s not me. It’s not right. It’s not matching my growth. It’s not matching my evolution. I can’t do this. I can’t stand by this. I can’t perform this for a year on tour.’”
“After a while, I looked at it, and I was like, this much time away from music needs to count for the next thing everyone hears. It has to count. It has to matter. I have to show them the worth in the wait. I cannot put up anything mediocre. After waiting eight years, you might as well just wait some more,” she said to Harper’s Bazaar last year.
While there is no official confirmation of her releasing new music, rumors are progressively rising. Supposedly, Rihanna would launch her ninth studio album between this year and the next. To add to the gossip, several studios in Los Ángeles, New York and Paris spotted the Barbados-born singer recording again. In addition, fans speculate over a possible big world tour for 2027 and 2028 if a new album comes out.
