Jack Antonoff conquers all main Grammy categories making history as the first producer to achieve it. With his win for Record of the Year at last Sunday’s Grammy Awards, he managed to achieve the ‘Big Four’.
The American singer, songwriter and producer is one of the most influential and important music composers in today’s industry. Antonoff just reached a new top that was unknown to any producer, as it was only singers who had achieved this spot. Which consists of winning at Grammy’s ‘Big Four’ categories at least once. These are music’s biggest categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist.

Jack was nominated for seven different categories at the 2026 Grammy Awards night:

Jack Antonoff conquers Grammy for Producer of the Year
The former fun. bandmember has become one of the most important figures in the music industry, as Jack Antonoff conquers all main Grammy categories. Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana del Rey, P!nk and Olivia Rodrigo are some of the artists that worked with Antonoff over the years. Jack joined Taylor Swift’s producing team in 2014 for her album 1989 and did not leave since then.
Furthermore, Antonoff also managed to win several consecutive Grammys at the Producer of the Year category. His producing reign began in 2022 and lasted until two years later. Jack became the second producer to manage to get this category win over three consecutive years. A position only achieved by legendary producer and singer Babyface in the 90s.
One of the most impressive things about Antonoff’s achievement is that only three other people have reached this position before. It is very common that top artists manage to win some of these awards throughout their career. However, only a limited list of people actually makes it with Grammys’ main categories.
Who else conquered all main Grammy categories
The American singer and Oscar winner Christopher Cross became the first artist to win all ‘Big Four’ prizes in 1981. Cross was on a historic run at the 1981 music awards since he conquered all main Grammy categories on the same night. His total dominance came with his single Sailing, Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and his debut album Christopher Cross. He won the Best New Artist category as well.
UK’s Adele was the second artist in history to achieve the ‘Big Four’ back in 2012. The British vocalist won the Best New Artist award in 2009, but it was not until three years later that she conquered the other three prizes. Her top single Rolling in the Deep won both Record of the Year and Song of the Year; while her album 21 Album of the Year. Since then, she also achieved again every of these three categories in 2017, for Hello and her disc 25.
Billie Eilish closes this limited list as the third person in Grammy’s history to get the main category awards. Just like Christopher Cross, Eilish completed the wanted ensemble in the same year. At the 2020 Grammy Awards she managed to get Best New Artist, Album of the Year, for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, and Record and Song of the Year for Bad Guy. A ceremony that opened Billie’s career at the Grammys, where she is already a legend that counts with 34 nominations.
