Perrie Edwards just launched her first solo album Perrie. This is her debut album as a solo artist after the Little Mix split. Moreover, the official release date was September 26.

Perrie is a 49-minute-LP full of hits. 16 songs compose the album of the ex-Mixer.
Nevertheless, this is not the first time we are hearing some of them. A few of her singles were released recently and others some time ago.
In April and October 2024 the first two singles saw the light: Forget About Us (April 12, 2024) and You Go Your Way (October 4, 2024). This airing led fans to think that the British popstar would soon present her debut ensemble. However, this special moment did not arrive until now.
If He Wanted to He Would -released August 22, 2025- is the third single that Edwards released. The barely-a-month old song is already on top. It has achieved more than 5 million streams on Spotify. Besides, fans noticed that the videoclip’s single resembles top rom-coms such as Mean Girls and Clueless.
The rest of the album’s songs were released in the last two weeks: Cute Agression, Miss You, Rocket Scientist… On the other hand, Forget About Us is also a mega hit. Since its launch in April 2024 it has achieved more than 33 million streams on Spotify.
This last disc marks a new beginning for the third time BRIT award’s winner. She explained her goal was to free herself from expectations about her feelings and the music she wants to make. Nevertheless, she was a bit scared at first: “When you go solo, you’re starting from scratch. You don’t know what the hell you’re doing because you’re like, ‘What’s my sound? Who am I as a solo artist?”
“I’m really proud of it. I took a while to get there,” she said. “Now with my album when I hear it, I’m excited for people to listen. It just makes me really giddy and I’m just buzzing about it.”, Perrie Edwards on her new album.
People’s reactions to Perrie
Fans waited patiently for this moment, and they are not disappointed. The majority took Perrie it really well. Critics also made their comment about the new album.
Celebmix reviewed the album saying: “Edwards arrives sounding fully formed. Lyrically, she touches on themes of love, resilience, and self-discovery, with songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. There’s a maturity here that reflects her journey through the highs and lows of fame, as well as the clarity of an artist who knows exactly what she wants to say.”
