He decided to open this new period with the iconic The Beatles’ song Help!. The rock-folk worldwide hit that was released in 1965 was the perfect beggining for McCartney. Furthermore, this song had not been performed onstage since December 12, 1965. For that matter, everyone was shocked and excited to be granted such an experience.
The Got Back Tour has been around for some time now. He has done different “eras” for each of the places he performed during this tour. The tour kicked off on April 28, 2022, in Spokane (Washington); which included 16 sold-out concerts across the country. In 2023 he flew over to Australia; where he toured in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Later that year, he performed in México and Brazil. Moreover, he stayed in South America for his next tour era. The legend artist spent October and November of 2024 on his concerts across the continent. Some of the places he stopped at were Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Lima (Perú), Bogotá (Colombia) and Ciudad de México (México).

In December 2024 he moved over to Europe, where he gave four concerts. Paris, Madrid, Manchester and London welcomed the superstar for this iconic tour. In order to continue the Got Back Tour in 2025, he will be performing in the U. S. Some of the confirmed dates are:
- September 29: Palm Desert, California
- October 4: Las Vegas, Nevada
- October 7: Albuquerque, New México
- October 11: Denver, Colorado
- October 14: Des Moines, Iowa
- October 17: Minneapolis, Minnesota
- October 22: Tulsa, Oklahoma
- October 25: San Antonio, Texas
About his future
As the tour goes on, McCartney shows he is far from retired. In 2024 he gave an interview where he talked about what keeps him motivated:
“l think it’s just because I’m very interested in life, and the things within it. I think that’s always been the motivation. As a kid it might mean I take a bus for a few stops and get off and then listen to what people were talking about, or make a little drawing of something. I always found that the stuff around you can be very fascinating.”
“I’m from the working class Liverpool people, and I met some of the smartest people there and heard some of the best jokes, heard some great wise attitudes to life, so that was the motivation then; just the enjoyment of what’s going on. That has obviously changed over the years, because I’m no longer getting the bus in Liverpool, but now I’m maybe driving my own car to the studio, it’s the same kind of thing, but the details are different. But the feeling of thinking there is something around the corner that could be really interesting is the same.” – thepaulmccartneyproject.com

On top of that, there are some rumors circulating about McCartney releasing new music. The artist himself confirmed this as it was one of his New Year’s resolutions. In addition, he commented that he has some songs already finished. However, these are on stand by due to the start of his new eras tour.
