Jordan Love shines as Green Bay claims key win, Jets stun Bengals in thriller, and Patriots and Colts keep dominating the NFL.

NFL Week 8 delivered amazing moments, unexpected comebacks, and dominant displays that are reshaping the season’s narrative before the halfway point.

Packers overcome steelers behind Jordan Love
Green Bay’s offense ignited in the second half to secure a 35-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, spoiling Aaron Rodgers’ highly anticipated return against his former team. Love completed 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns, including a streak of 20 consecutive completions, the longest for a Packers QB in 18 years. Tight end Tucker Kraft added seven catches for 143 yards and two scores in a performance that elevated Green Bay to 5-1-1 atop the NFC. Meanwhile, Micah Parsons recorded his fourth sack in two games, cementing the defense’s resurgence.

Jets break the 0-7 Curse in wild comeback
The New York Jets stunned the football world by rallying from a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38. Breece Hall threw a rare touchdown pass and ran for two scores in the comeback, while quarterback Justin Fields threw for 244 yards and a touchdown without interceptions. The win, the Jets’ first of the season, came amid heavy criticism and controversy surrounding Fields and the coaching staff, providing a much-needed morale boost.

Patriots, Colts and Broncos confirm contender status
The New England Patriots completed a five-game winning streak in the NFL with a commanding 32-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns. Rookie QB Drake Maye was efficient despite pressure, throwing three touchdowns, as New England’s defense contributed turnovers and a safety. The Indianapolis Colts crushed the Tennessee Titans 38-14 behind Jonathan Taylor’s 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while the Denver Broncos extended their winning streak to five with a 44-24 rout of the Dallas Cowboys. Broncos QB Bo Nix excelled throwing four touchdowns, and the defense stifled Prescott and Dallas’ offense.

Standout performances

  • Buffalo Bills’ James Cook exploded for 216 rushing yards, the first 200-yard effort by a Bills back since 1976, helping end a losing streak with a 40-9 win over Carolina. Josh Allen scored three touchdowns and became the second QB with 70 career rushing TDs.
  • Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley broke out with 150 yards and two 20+ yard runs in a 38-20 win over New York Giants, who lost running back Cam Skattebo to a season-ending ankle injury.
  • Cleveland Browns’ Myles Garrett recorded a career-high five sacks despite the team’s defeat, further cementing his Defensive Player of the Year credentials.

Other stories
