Seems like Meghan Markle took a trip down memory lane on her and Prince Harry’s 7th wedding anniversary.

On May 19, the Duchess of Sussex (43) offered a touching window into her private world with Prince Harry (40), sharing never-before-seen photos that chronicle their journey together.
“Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories,” the former actress captioned the post. “Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary! ❤️.”
The message accompanied a collage of photos laid out on a cork board, creating a visual timeline of their relationship—it begins with snapshots from the couple’s early romance in 2016, moving through major milestones including their engagement, wedding, and life as working royals.
Seven Years Of Marriage

A sonogram marks the start of their parenting journey, followed by a touching image of Meghan cradling her baby bump and a tender moment where Harry kisses their newborn son, Archie, born in May 2019.
Their daughter, Lilibet, born in June 2021, is lovingly featured in several photos as well. One image shows her peacefully resting in her crib, while another captures Meghan holding Lilibet as Archie plays nearby. A particularly sweet Christmas-time photo shows Archie planting a kiss on his baby sister’s forehead.
The central section of the board highlights joyful family moments in the sun, and in another corner, the family is seen enjoying a carefree day at the beach.
Throughout the collage, affectionate snapshots of Harry and Meghan emphasize the deep bond they continue to share.
A Rocky Road
These past seven years have been immensely challenging for the couple, as they have faced a wide range of personal, public, and institutional challenges since their relationship began—specially Meghan.
From the start of their relationship, she has faced intense media attention from British tabloids, often with sexist and racist undertones that highlighted Meghan’s bi-racial identity.
She also faced intense paparazzi harassment, similar to what Harry’s mother, the forever beloved Princess Diana, endured. In response, Harry issued a rare public statement in 2016 condemning the media’s treatment of Meghan, citing “a wave of abuse and harassment.”
The Royal Rift
Harry’s relationships with some members of the Royal Family—particularly Prince William and King Charles III—have been strained ever since he started dating the “Suits” actress.
The couple’s departure from royal duties (“Megxit”) is reportedly what caused irreparable family damage. In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced they would step back from their senior royal roles. This decision stemmed from both their frustration with media intrusion and the lack of institutional support.
Their move to North America marked a dramatic shift and led to a formal split from many royal responsibilities and privileges. In interviews and his memoir “Spare”, Harry spoke candidly about disagreements, feeling neglected, and emotional distance from family members.
Meghan and Harry also alleged that an unnamed royal made racist remarks about Archie’s skin tone before his birth, which significantly heightened tensions.
Happy Ever After
Despite all the hardships, the family has had special reasons to celebrate recently. On May 6, 2025, Archie turned six, and Meghan marked the occasion with a touching Instagram post. “Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?” she wrote alongside a new photo of her son.

For Mother’s Day, Meghan shared another heartfelt message, this time honoring fellow moms. “To these two gems — who still attempt to climb ‘mama mountain’, smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure… Being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life ❤️,” she wrote.
She closed the post with a quote that captures the depth of her love: “I, too, ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.'”
