Lana Del Rey is finally ready to unveil her long-anticipated country-inspired record.

In a new W Magazine profile, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter confirmed that her tenth studio album is officially titled Stove and is now set for release at the end of January 2026. The project has undergone multiple title changes and delays, making this one of the most talked-about albums in recent years for Lana’s devoted fanbase.
From Lasso to The Right Person Will Stay to Stove
The album’s journey has been anything but straightforward. Originally announced under the name Lasso back in 2023, the project was later retitled The Right Person Will Stay in late 2024. At the time, Del Rey revealed the record would drop on May 21, 2025 with a tracklist of 13 songs.
However, she soon decided to push the release back once more. The reason? Lana wanted to expand the project with six additional songs, making the final album larger and more personal than originally planned.
“They were more autobiographical than I thought, and that took more time,” Del Rey explained to W Magazine. Now, after years of teasing and reworking, Stove is officially scheduled to arrive in January 2026.
Production and Collaborators
Stove will see Lana Del Rey team up with some heavyweights in music production. The record is being produced by:
- Luke Laird – a legendary Nashville songwriter and producer, known for shaping the sound of modern country music.
- Jack Antonoff – Lana’s longtime collaborator, who has worked with her since Norman F**ing Rockwell! and also produces for Taylor Swift, Lorde, and The 1975.
Interestingly, Del Rey revealed that she began conceptualizing this country project nearly eight years ago, long before the recent boom of country crossover records in mainstream pop.
“When I was looking to make a country record, no one else was thinking about country,” she said. “Now everyone is going country! I’ve asked myself, should I retire all my snakeskin boots? Should I put my cowboy hats in storage?”
This comment comes as artists like Beyoncé, Post Malone, and Lana’s friend Kacey Musgraves have brought country sounds into the spotlight in recent years.
Lana Del Rey’s Recent Work and Singles
Lana’s last studio album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (2023), was widely acclaimed by critics and fans alike, ranking on numerous year-end “Best Albums” lists.

In 2025, she shared two singles that gave fans a taste of her evolving sound: “Henry, come on”, a stripped-back track with storytelling roots, leaning heavily into folk and country aesthetics; and “Bluebird”, a more traditional Lana ballad, blending melancholic vocals with Americana-inspired instrumentals.
She also previewed an unreleased song snippet on social media, which included pointed lyrics that fans interpreted as directed at fellow singer-songwriter Ethel Cain, sparking online debate within music circles.
The Ethel Cain Drama
Shortly after Lana shared the snippet, Ethel Cain revealed on Instagram Stories that Lana had blocked her.
In response, Lana commented publicly, calling out Cain for allegedly posting side-by-side images that paired Lana with unflattering creatures and making repeated disparaging remarks about her weight. She claimed to have found some of those comparisons “disturbing.”
This has become one of the most high-profile indie music feuds of 2025. Notable figures like Nicki Minaj even chimed in, praising Lana’s delivery and calling the track “dope,” which only amplified public interest.
What to Expect From Stove
While Lana has not revealed the full tracklist yet, fans can expect a more autobiographical, deeply personal record compared to some of her past projects.
With Luke Laird’s country influence and Antonoff’s cinematic pop sensibilities, Stove is shaping up to be a genre-blending exploration of country, folk, and Del Rey’s signature nostalgic sound.
Given Del Rey’s reputation for crafting albums that reflect cultural moods—such as Born to Die’s doomed Americana, Norman F**ing Rockwell!’s melancholy West Coast dream, and Ocean Blvd’s intimate introspection—Stove is expected to deliver another era-defining moment in her career.
