Harry Styles just made his official comeback to releasing music with his new single Aperture. But this is not the only thing the British heartthrob is up to. He is also back with a brand-new album called Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
Aperture leads the way to Styles’ new creative musical era, approaching himself to a more electronic and vibey sound. Moreover, the track achieved outstanding streaming results and broke the record as the biggest solo debut by a male artist on Spotify.
When hearing the new song, there is a very notorious mix of pop with minimal techno, electric and clubbing influences. Its soft synths combined with a groovy percussion and a chill atmosphere show how Harry explores a new side of his music. Harry Styles’ New Sound in Aperture
About the lyrical side of the tune, the Sign of the Times singer shows a sonorous progression from his previous musical works. While Harry’s House (2022), Fine Line (2019) and Harry Styles (2017) had more of a pop, rock, soft pop and disco kind of sound, here is different. Harry Styles’ new single Aperture shows a new version that we are not used to hearing in him.
An electronic clubbing ambience takes over the tune and takes us to the dancefloor. On the other hand, the EDM vibe has been a long way coming in his music, since some of his most recent tracks are very similar to it.

However, there is a very clear difference in Harry’s new single Aperture if we compare the way his voice sounds. Whereas in most of his songs his voice is direct and clear with a mix of vocal arrangements and memorable choruses, in Aperture happens the opposite thing. Harry’s voice is heavily integrated into the electronic production of the tune, which also leads to a more creative and playful style of music.

In an interview with BBC’s Radio 1, Harry talked about the creation of his new tune and how this was the last song to record. “It was kind of amazing for me. I think it was like we had most of the album done and a lot of it was kind of exploring a lot of the themes that I think the song is exploring. And then I think getting this song at the end, it was kind of when we were feeling like our freest and having a lot of fun at that point. It almost felt like almost like the mission statement of what the album was about,” admitted Harry Styles to Radio 1.

Harry’s Time Away From Music
The As It Was singer also mentioned how he felt creating this new tune after being away from recording music for some years on Radio 1. “I’d had a couple years away from a lot of work stuff and had a lot of big realizations and kind of just generally opening up more to the world. I think allowing some more positive things to come into my life and that was kind of the culmination of all of that happening around the making of this record,” said the former One Direction member.

Moreover, it was such a hit that the British songwriter managed to win Best Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
