Florence + The Machine just released their latest album Everybody Scream and it is already charting. She managed to go up the charts once again with her fifth studio album.
The official LP launch was on October 31, 2025, and comes as a sequel of her previous album Dance Fever from 2022. Some say its aesthetic suggests a mix of many factors such as mysticism, horror folk, and witchy and feminine elements. The New Yorker analyzed Welch’s new album and its creation in a recent article.
The popular magazine says that “during the songwriting process, she steeped herself in the horror canon, studying occultism at the Warburg Institute and reading books such as Rob Young’s Electric Eden, which traces how British folk music in the sixties and seventies began to cross over with mysticism”. We can see some of her inspiration sources on her lyrics that say, “Doing the work and sleeping alone / downloading Revelations of Divine Love on my phone,” on her song Perfume and Milk.
Even though it was just released, it is already on top. In the UK’ Official Album Charts, it debuted as the #1 album. After this astonishing accomplishment, Everybody Scream becomes Florences / The Machine’s fifth album to reach that position. It also went up to #4 on America’s Billboard 200. In addition, the new album went up charts like Top Album Sales, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums in the US.

Welch also talked to KROQ in an interview about the release coinciding with Halloween festivities. “I actually took so much sort of inspiration from folk horror and horror movies, and if the last album was kind of based on this dark fairytale mythology, this one’s just a horror film… I also think it was an album that kind of wrestled with life and death and darker themes… I think it’s a seasonal record, as well. It was about — it feels very autumnal to me. There [are] lots of little bits of nature threaded through it, so it just seemed like the absolute perfect moment to release it”, said Welch to KROQ.
In order to promote her newest album, Florence + The Machine announced the Everybody Scream Tour. It will kick off in Belfast (UK) on February 6, 2026.
