Every team has done their F1 2024 car reveal and we can now see what the new grid will look like for the following season
All the F1 2024 grid is finally revealed and we are just one week away from pre-season. The 2024 challengers are here and they have sparked some debate online. Too much carbon fiber, almost every team copying the RedBull 2023 concept and the revolutionary 2024 sidepods from the energy drinks brand are the topics everyone has an opinion online. So, here are the 10 cars we will see in the F1 2024 season.
Haas VF-24
The team that finished last on the grid last year showed the first their evolution. With the same drivers in Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg and new team principal Ayao Komatsu replacing Guenther Steiner. The american team is ready for a difficult chapter in the F1 2024 season in which they could be fighting their continuity in the sport.
Williams FW46
4th season for Thai-British driver Alex Albon and 2nd for American Logan Sargeant and Team principal James Vowles is the time for Williams to keep their climb up the standings. The historical British team is on its way back to the very top of the sport. The livery keeps its signature blue colors and now features many more news sponsors. Even with new brands in the car like Komatsu, the iconic Duracell battery remains for another season.
Kick Sauber C44
First time on the grid without their Alfa Romeo brand name since 2017. Sauber keeps Zhou Guanyu and Valtteri Bottas and dresses them in green for their Kick sponsorship. The car shows lots of unpainted carbon fiber as a weight reduction measure and an aerodynamic profile similar to last year’s RedBull.
Alpine A524
The French squad Alpine with their 2 French drivers Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly show the most carbon fiber of the grid together with Sauber. The signature Alpine blue and BWT pink are still there but the difference with last year’s car is very noticeable.
VCARB-01
Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are the only well-known names as not even the fans know what they will call this team. RedBull’s B-team got back their old late Toro Rosso colors and added a large number of sponsors.
Aston Martin AMR24
The Silverstone-based team returns with their Iconic British green livery and the Alonso-Stroll lineup hoping toleap forward like last year. The car designed by Dan Fallows looks interesting with a “floating sidepods” concept and looks like a great evolution of the AMR23.
Ferrari SF-24
Rosso corsa is back on track. Ferrari does not need anything else to be iconic. Although, the yellow and white lines give the SF-24 a distinctive touch. The last Ferrari to be driven by Carlos Sainz gives the tifosi something to dream about until Lewis Hamilton comes into the team.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas W15
And talking about Sir Lewis Hamilton, the last Mercedes for him is this Silver and Black W15. The livery reminds of the past and the present of the team. A bit of a tribute to the team’s greatest legend. Perhaps, we could dream of an 8th world title before he dresses in red.
McLaren MCL38
Papaya team is slowly turning into a Papaya-Carbon team. The car with the most sponsors on the grid adds some more and hopes to finally take the big step forward they have been promising for years. Team principal Andrea Stella however, declared the concept is not ready and the first races could be “tricky”.
Red Bull Racing RB20
Controversy is the word for this car. Both for trying the “no-sidepods” concept and for having Christian Horner there after his alleged scandal. This team feels untouchable for everyone on the grid and acts that way. The livery is still the same, that’s the only non-controversial point.
F1 teams have everything ready and preseason testing is only one week away. We have yet to see if the cars we have seen in the presentations are the real ones and how teams will evolve through the year.
