The singer has published the second single for her possible next album with a dance sound and an intimate message
Dua Lipa has released a new song called “Training Season” accompanied by a music video on YouTube. This song is now available on all music platforms so that its fans can enjoy it.
However, Dua Lipa previewed the song by singing it a week ago at her 2024 Grammys performance. She did so accompanied by a dance cast and spectacular visuals along with the song “Houdini,” her first single of this era.
The song is composed by the artist herself along with Caroline Ailin, Danny L Harle, Tobias Jesso Jr and produced by the famous producer Kevin Parker, who also gave sound to “Houdini”.
The lyrics of the song show us a girl tired about dating and men. Dua now presents herself as a woman with clear ideas and with whom men do not know how to deal, ending up almost always taking control.
Tired of meeting guys who don’t open up emotionally and don’t know how to flirt, Dua puts her requirements on the table: “I need someone who hugs me tightly, whose love seems like a detour, who speaks directly to my soul, who makes me feel vertigo“
In a recent interview Dua spoke about the song: “In the song I talk about how I’m tired of telling men how to date me, but it’s also about learning from experiences and growing as a person. At some point you stop looking for apprentices and you become more interested in finding someone who is at the same point as you“.
In addition, she told where she was inspired to create this new song with his team: “I had been on a series of bad dates and the last one was the straw that broke the camel’s back. The next morning I arrived at the studio and Caroline and Tobias asked me how everything was gone and I immediately declared ‘Training Season IS OVER.’“
She also wanted to make the song’s message clear: “Obviously it’s about that feeling when you’re no longer telling people, specifically men in this case, how to date you properly; it’s also about my training season being over.” finished and that I grow with each experience. I have never felt safer, clearer or more empowered. And while the training season may never end for any of us, you begin to see the beauty of finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for apprentices and you become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”
In the video clips we can see a Dua that all men admire to an overwhelming point in which the singer seems more like a work of art looked at by eager fans than a girl on a date. The music video’s window acts as the marking of the frame and shows a certain feeling of espionage and forbiddenness in it.
We can also see how she is constantly pursued but she shows no interest in anyone. It could be reflected in the numerous love offers that the singer could have but without anyone managing to conquer her heart. She ends up trapped among crowds of men who look at her with desire and fight to be as close to the artist as possible.
Dua Lipa has been going strong this year as an established artist in the industry. She presents us with a new dance style with which he seeks to entertain his fans in discos and clubs. After the previous masterpieces, we can’t wait any longer to have the album.
