A$AP Rocky finally comes back to music with his new disc Don’t Be Dumb, released on January 16, 2026. This is the Praise The Lord singer’s first album launch in almost eight years.

Featuring seventeen new original songs, A$AP Rocky is back in business with his fourth studio album. This was one of the most awaited releases of the year, as his last own musical work came in eight years ago with his album Testing (2018). However, the American rapper and producer teased this new production some time ago by posting several album snippets.

PUNK ROCKY, an energic punk-rap track that led the way to the rest of the fire album’s songs, was the first to came out on January 5, 2026. Moreover, PUNK ROCKY’s video clip gained a lot of attention in a short period of time due to the originality and some incredible yet differentiating aspects.

The Harlem artist managed to make the stellar actress Winona Ryder star as his neighbor in his new promotional video. Mixed with harsh visuals and a rebel aesthetic, PUNK ROCKY is set to stardom.

HELICOPTER is the second single and was launched on January 12, only four days before the disc’s release. A curated and original musical production takes over this track. HELICOPTER mixes a grand display of different sounds, mainly focusing on the helicopter propellers.

Furthermore, in his new single Rocky mixes trap with dynamic beats and a Y2K videogame style. These two first glances of A$AP’s new production gave us examples of the path the rapper would follow.

As we see on Don’t Be Dumb’s track list, there are some fire collaborations with big industry names such as Doechii, Gorillaz, will.i.am and Tyler, The Creator. Nevertheless, some other star artists were part of this LP working in its insides.

This is the case of 7-time Grammy Award Jon Batiste and awards-winning score composer Danny Elfman. These two outstanding musicians created the perfect atmosphere to mix with Rocky’s own urban style.

On the other hand, another feature that makes this new album such a hit is because of the attention to detail it counts with. Tim Burton, one of the most popular and awarded movie directors, partnered up with A$AP Rocky in order to create the album’s cover.

A few years ago, the Harlem singer teased about the to creatives collaborating on something together, and now is the time it is revealed. Moreover, Burton also was part of the visual aspects of the album.

Furthermore, the Fashion Killa (2013) singer has shown his movie directing ambition over the years. In some interviews he talks about how he wants his video clips to come closer to that theatrical sensation. “Cinema is just a portal to an imagination, depicted by somebody else,” A$AP declared. “You get to see somebody else’s dream. It’s almost like a filmmaker is a God in his own right.”
