Demi Lovato walked down the aisle last Sunday in a dreamy ceremony in California.

The Disney alum (32) and singer Jordan “Jutes” Lutes (34) celebrated their union in a heartfelt ceremony at the historic Bellosguardo Estate in Santa Barbara, California. The couple exchanged vows in front of 135 guests, surrounded by the estate’s sweeping ocean views and lush gardens, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere.
The wedding was planned by renowned wedding planner Mindy Weiss, ensuring every detail was meticulously executed. The couple’s photographer, Jose Villa, captured the day’s special moments, continuing his work from their engagement photos.
Back To The Start
The couple’s love story began in January 2022 when they met during a songwriting session for Lovato’s album “Holy Fvck”. Jutes is a Canadian singer-songwriter—beyond his high-profile relationship with the “Camp Rock” star, he has carved out a distinct identity in the music industry, marked by his genre-blending sound and candidness about mental health.
Their friendship blossomed into romance, and they went public with their relationship in August 2022. Lutes proposed in December 2023 with a custom pear-shaped diamond ring amid a sea of red rose petals at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood.
Ahead of their wedding, Lovato expressed her excitement to marry Jutes via a sweet post on Instagram on Valentine’s Day:

“Jordan, I cannot WAIT to marry you!! The past 3 years have been the best 3 years of my life and I have you to thank for that,” Lovato wrote alongside sweet photos of them posing together next to a vintage Porsche. “I’m obsessed with your heart, your love and your light. I can’t wait to grow old with you and start a family together. Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life. I love you honey!!!”
Glam And Glitz
Lovato wore a custom Vivienne Westwood gown made of pearl white silk satin, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a corset bodice. The dress was perfected over five fittings, with the couture team traveling from London to Los Angeles to ensure every detail was just right.
“I’ve been a fan of Vivienne Westwood for so long,” Lovato shared in a Vogue exclusive on Monday. “I love the way that they designed the dress, it feels perfect and makes me feel so confident in my body.”

She complemented the gown with a cathedral-length ivory tulle veil. For the reception, she changed into another Westwood creation—the Audrey gown—an ivory silk satin column dress with a draped corset top and cascading broken pearls.
The ceremony was intimate and personal, with the couple playing rock, paper, scissors to decide who would say their vows first. Their vows were described as “short and sweet,” reflecting their deep connection and shared sense of humor.
Lovato’s manicure choices also garnered attention. She opted for a minimalistic and timeless look, collaborating with her longtime manicurist Natalie Minerva. For the pre-wedding evening, they used OPI shades Passion and For the Fill of It. On the wedding day, she chose Pearl-Clutching Behavior, a soft, milky nude shade, styled into a medium-length rounded almond shape.
Calm Comes After The Storm
“The ceremony was overflowing with love,” Demi recalled. “Our dear friend Dave Osokow officiated, and he made it incredibly personal. It truly felt like everyone there was part of one big family, celebrating alongside us. As Jordan and I looked into each other’s eyes, all I could think about was how lucky we are to share this lifetime together.”
When it came time to exchange vows, the couple found themselves at a playful impasse—neither could decide who should go first. “So we settled it with a quick game of Rock Paper Scissors,” Demi laughs. “We tied the first round, then Jordan won, so I went first.”
For Demi, the moment was the emotional peak of a deeply meaningful journey. “I just felt so loved,” she said. “Everything I’ve been through in life led me to this point, and it was all worth it. Marrying my best friend, my soulmate, the love of my life—it was beyond special. Jordan means more to me than I could ever put into words. Finding this kind of love has brought such fulfillment to my life.”

She continues, “We both committed to working on ourselves before we found each other, and I believe that’s a vital part of our relationship. We didn’t come together expecting to be completed by the other—we had already done the work to be whole on our own. That foundation has made our connection even stronger.”
After the ceremony, the newlyweds shared a quiet moment together before rejoining their guests. “We just wanted to take it in—we were officially husband and wife,” Demi says. “Then it was time for dinner and a whole lot of dancing. I’m so ready for this next chapter of our lives together. And honestly, there’s not a single thing I would change about our wedding day.”
