Legendary rock frontman Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum made their first major public outing together since his September 2024 confession of fathering a child outside their marriage.

Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum made a united public appearance at the Hope in the City of Angels charity gala over the weekend — their first major event together since reports surfaced that the Foo Fighters frontman had fathered a child outside of their marriage.
Infidelity and New Child
In September 2024, Grohl, 56, unexpectedly announced via Instagram that he had a daughter born outside his marriage to Jordyn Blum, 48. He wrote:
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
The couple married in August 2003 and have three daughters together: Violet (born 2006), Harper (born 2009) and Ophelia (born 2014).

“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together,” Grohl concluded.
Reports say that following his announcement, Jordyn Blum was devastated and turned to friends for support, while Grohl retained a divorce attorney—though no formal dissolution has been filed.
Reconciliation: Family Comes First
Over the weekend, the 56-year-old rock icon was honored at the star-studded Los Angeles event for his ongoing humanitarian work supporting the city’s unhoused population.
Grohl received the Ordinary Hero Award for his hands-on volunteerism and generous financial contributions. During his acceptance speech, the musician pledged an additional $100,000 donation to the cause, earning a standing ovation from attendees.
Jordyn Blum stood proudly by her husband’s side at the gala, marking a rare joint appearance since the couple weathered a highly publicized relationship scandal.
Despite the turmoil, a source told People magazine that the longtime pair have chosen to reconcile and prioritize their family. “She’s forgiven him,” the insider shared.
“They never truly wanted a divorce — the idea of splitting up their family was too sad for both of them. They love their girls deeply, and they’re both incredible parents.”
“Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater”
Dave Grohl has long been celebrated as one of rock’s “good guys.” But beneath that public image lies a complex personal life marked by multiple rocky relationships and a longtime marriage under strain.
His first marriage was to photographer Jennifer Youngblood, which ended in 1997 after only a few years together. Grohl later admitted that infidelity played a role in that split.
Over the years he was linked to other women, including singer Louise Post of Veruca Salt, whom he also allegedly cheated on with actress Winona Ryder.
Following Grohl’s infidelity confession, his image as a family-oriented rock hero took a hit, and he now faces the challenge of balancing legacy with mistakes. While many fans had long admired Grohl for his down-to-earth persona, the admission has stained the “nicest guy in rock music” narrative forever.
