Weekend 2 of Coachella 2025 proved once again why it’s more than just a musical encore.
While Weekend 1 may get the headlines and Instagram buzz, those who returned to Indio the following Friday were treated to a festival that dialed up the performances, the energy and the surprises.
Friday: Lady Gaga Returns, Lisa Shines
The desert air was unusually breezy Friday, setting the tone for what felt like a more laid-back but no less electric opening. Campsites were thriving early, with setups ranging from minimalist tents to full-on glamping operations. By late afternoon, the Sonora tent was already buzzing with aggressive punk and hardcore acts—Knocked Loose, Kneecap, and The Prodigy among them—while fans of Lisa, the BLACKPINK star turned solo powerhouse, packed the Sahara stage.
But it was Lady Gaga who stole the night again. Dressed to stun and vocally flawless, she delivered a performance that reminded everyone why she’s in a league of her own. Fans followed her lead fashion-wise too, with Gaga-inspired fits dominating festival grounds.
Saturday: T-Pain, Green Day, and Ed Sheeran’s Surprise Bar
Saturday turned up the variety. Early in the afternoon, Ed Sheeran—originally a surprise addition to the lineup—played to a massive crowd and even opened the doors to an Irish-style hidden pub he helped design. It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of activation that quickly became one of the most talked-about features of the weekend.
Elsewhere, T-Pain got everyone jumping with club bangers, Green Day lit up the night with their punk-rock catalog, and Travis Scott brought his signature wild energy. Even Yo Gabba Gabba! drew a crowd, turning nostalgia into a dance party.
A special treat? Cynthia Erivo joined conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil for a sunset set that added a touch of elegance to the day’s chaos.
Sunday: Finales, Festivities and a 4/20 Vibe
Sunday was a melting pot of celebration—Easter, 4/20, and Coachella’s grand finale all collided in the best way possible. DJ Athena surprised fans with a set that included rapper OhGeesy and an emotional appearance by his mother. Former J-pop star SHIMA, now turned DJ, also made her Do Lab debut.
Post Malone closed things out with a set full of soul and singalongs. Megan Thee Stallion brought the heat, Junior H pulled in regional Mexican fans, and Shaboozey gave country rap a proper stage.
On the sidelines, brand activations doubled as chill zones and content traps—from Takis’ spicy setup to Aperol Spritz’s bubbly lounge. These pop-up experiences kept people buzzing in between stages.
