The American popstar will make his return to music with an outstanding launch next month. This new release will be Bruno Mars’ first solo album release in a decade, opening the door to his new musical era.
The Just the Way You Are artist admitted that his latest production is finished, teasing its very awaited resurgence on his socials. The Hawaiian singer’s fourth studio album The Romantic will be available on all streaming services on February 27. Moreover, its presale is already on for those who would like to save it, as well as vinyl and special editions of the album. However, the musician did not give any more details about the musical style and the track list of his new work.
Furthermore, fans ran to social media after the announcement. “Bruno, we’ve been waiting since 2016 for this moment! 10 years since 24K Magic and the world is finally ready for a solo BM era again. You dominated 2025 with ROSÉ and Gaga, but there is nothing like a full project from you. Please don’t make us wait another week – drop the lead single and take over the charts again!”, wrote a fan on X.
New Single Release
On the other hand, he also revealed the release of the album’s main track. The Romantic’s first single will be out tomorrow, on January 9, 2026. This new tune will embark on a new version of Mars’ music, as he will return to solo music.
Moreover, it will act as the guide to indicate the new LP’s style. These last few years the Locked Out of Heaven artist was more focused on collaborations and parallel projects.
Previous Album Releases
Ten years have passed since his last solo album, the iconic 24K Magic, launched on November 16, 2016. This last soloist LP gave us hits that broke charts such as That’s What I Like and Finesse. These two tracks managed to climb up the charts and stay in the first place for several weeks.
However, his previous album launch took place on November 12, 2021, with An Evening with Silk Sonic. A collaborative disc between the producer Anderson .Paak and the When I Was Your Man artist that formed the musical super duo called “Silk Sonic” together. The two American musicians broke all the records thanks to their retro 1970s inspired R&B LP.
The 2021 album was such a hit, it reached #2 on Billboards list on its debut day. Moreover, An Evening with Silk Sonic’s main single Leave the Door Open achieved the first place on Billboards Hot 100 and stayed for various weeks on the Top 10.
Furthermore, The Romantic comes after some of Bruno’s major single launches. His collab with ROSÉ APT. became one of the most streamed songs in 2024, topping every hit chart. Alternatively, the Grammy-winner Die With a Smile with Lady Gaga managed to be the most listened-to song on Hot 100 Year-End Chart 2025. Moreover, it also broke records on Spotify as it became the one with the most consecutive days as #1.
New Bruno Mars Tour
In addition to the releases, the Talking to the Moon singer also announced The Romantic Tour. The Hawaiian singer will be stopping in North America, Europe and the UK next year. Almost 40 tour dates were just announced, marking his return as well to global tours. His last ever stadium round of shows happened in 2017 with the 24K Magic World Tour. Some of the revealed guest artists include Anderson .Paak, Victoria Monét, RAYE and Leon Thomas.
