Internet star Brittany Broski steps into a bold new chapter with the release of her debut single “The Sun,” marking the beginning of her music career.
Brittany Broski has never been one to stay in just one lane. From her internet-breaking kombucha meme to hosting podcasts and digital talk shows, she’s become a modern digital Renaissance woman. But now, the influencer known for her wit, whimsy, and willingness to be wonderfully weird is embracing a new chapter: musician. On April 4, Broski released her debut single, “The Sun,” signaling not only a new artistic direction but a deeply personal journey into the music that shaped her.
“I say this all the time to my team: it feels like I’m in a fan fiction. Like, a fan fiction that I would’ve written when I was 15,” said Broski.
It’s not hard to see why her life feels surreal. With her podcast The Broski Report and her hit show Royal Court, where celebrities like Charli XCX and Colman Domingo vie for spots on her mock-medieval council, Broski has built a mini media empire fueled by authenticity and absurdist humor.
But music, it turns out, has always been part of the plan—just one she kept tucked away until the right moment. And that moment has finally arrived.

Introducing “The Sun”
“The Sun” is not what casual fans might expect from the woman who once made the world laugh by trying kombucha for the first time. Sultry, soulful, and rooted in bluesy rock, the track showcases Broski’s surprisingly powerful vocals and her vision for a new musical identity. Co-written with Luke Niccoli, SXSSY, and Emily Haber, the song carries both emotional weight and sonic sophistication.
“It’s ethereal, whimsical, but also at the core of it, a fucking stink face bluesy rock song,” she explains.
The song’s themes were born out of frustration and reflection, particularly following an ambiguous “situationship” that left her questioning her worth.
“I have done all of the work on myself… What do you mean I’m not good enough?” she recalls thinking.
That emotional unrest was channeled into a piece of art that she sees as the perfect gateway into her music career. And judging by the buzz it’s already generating, it’s resonating.
A Label Deal Born in a Pandemic
The story of how Broski’s music deal came to be might sound like a fairy tale, but it’s very real. During the pandemic, an A&R rep from Atlantic Records stumbled across one of her singing videos and sent a cold email.
“Hi. I don’t know who this email’s going to, I just found this on Brittany’s profile. I am such a big fan,” it read.
To Broski, it seemed almost too good to be true. But the stars aligned, and by the time she had her first call with the label, she came prepared.
“I’ve got it, babe,” she told them.
With a Pinterest board, a Canva deck, and a clearly defined vision, Broski pitched herself as a whimsical, renaissance-inspired artist—corsets, candles, flowy fabrics and all. That aesthetic, she says, reflects not just her music but her entire outlook on life.

Not Leaving Her Roots Behind
For all her excitement about her debut single, Broski is adamant that her music isn’t replacing her existing projects—it’s expanding them. She’s not abandoning The Broski Report or Royal Court anytime soon.
“I’m a singer now,” she says, mimicking the dramatic shift some influencers make when they pivot careers. “But that’s not me. What I want to do is all of it—and do all of it well.”
That mindset is at the heart of her growing brand: multifaceted, fluid, and unapologetically authentic. Music is just another layer to the onion (yes, she really did make a Shrek reference), and she’s determined to keep peeling.

Surprising Her Fans – And Herself
When Broski released a reimagined cover of Harry Styles’ “Adore You” in March—complete with a stunning live performance video—many fans were genuinely shocked at what they heard. Her audience, lovingly dubbed “Broski Nation,” knew her as the comedic powerhouse. Now, they’re meeting Brittany the vocalist.
“It was kind of a hell yeah moment,” she says of the surprised responses. “Women are so diverse and multifaceted. I’m going to keep revealing things you did not think I could do.”
For Broski, that diversity is the point. Her brand isn’t about being one thing; it’s about showing everything, including sides of herself she’s long kept private.
The Double-Edged Sword of Internet Fame
With millions of followers before even releasing her first single, Broski is in a unique position. On the one hand, she already has a built-in audience. On the other, that same familiarity can come with preconceived notions.
“In theory, I could fart into the microphone and there’d be at least 10 people like, ‘She’s so talented,’” she jokes. “But people might already have an idea of me… and that’s a bit unfair.”
Still, she sees that as motivation. Her music is a chance to surprise, to deepen the connection she’s already built with her fans, and to show them something new. This isn’t a departure from who she is—it’s a deeper dive.
What’s Next for Broski?
There’s more music on the horizon. While she’s keeping the details under wraps for now, Broski promises a “larger project” is coming, complete with all the trappings of a proper music rollout. What excites her most is the level of vulnerability she’ll be sharing in future songs.
“This is so deeply personal,” she says. “Where maybe The Broski Report I’ve held back a little bit, this is going full throttle.”
As for how she celebrated the release of “The Sun”? In true Broski fashion: “I might take a little edible and watch me a National Geographic, Roman Empire or something on TV and fall asleep at 7:30 PM.”

The Surface Is Barely Scratched
Brittany Broski’s evolution from meme queen to music artist is more than just a rebrand—it’s a revelation. With “The Sun,” she’s stepping into the spotlight not as a joke or a gimmick, but as an artist with something real to say. And as she put it best: “We’ve barely scratched the surface.”
From church choirs to TikTok, from podcasting to now singing sultry blues rock, Broski’s journey proves there’s more than one way to rise to the top. And if this debut is any indication, the next chapter in the Broski universe is going to be unforgettable.
