Blas Polidori is an Argentinian actor and model. Recently, he was one of the stars of Juan Antonio Bayona’s successful Society of the Snow. With a promising future in acting ahead and a real prove of his talents that we will keep seeing in the future. Blas also showed us his passion for what he does and how his life has revolved around acting since a young age. He tells us more about his experience working on the picture and what life could bring him next.
What made you want to pursue a career in acting?
Blas Polidori: I fell in love with it the first time I was able to try it. A big support for me was my mum, who always encouraged me to pursue acting as a career.
You are also a model. How do you feel both careers complement each other?
Fashion is important to me, but I think the experience modelling gave me was the most valuable. It’s crazy how it works from the inside. Additionally, both careers complement each other really well, since the aim of both of them is to transmit something.
What is the aspect of working in the cinematic industry that you like the most?
The magic that happens inside a set. Working on a project and seeing the final result on the big screen is an unparalleled experience.

How did you land the job in Society of the Snow ?
I was lucky enough to have a company that sent the casting to me.
Could you tell us more about your role in the film?
To me, playing Gustavo ‘Coco’ Nicolich was about transmitting a sense of friendship and love.
What is your best memory of the shooting?
Filming the scene of the accident was a very good experience. Also, everything I had to do with my colleagues was awesome.
And the most difficult moment?
The avalanche was a difficult moment, both physically and mentally.
Did you expect Society of the Snow to gather that much success and praise?
I thought it was going to be a really good movie. However, I was far from imagining how big it was going to get.
How was the experience of working with such a famous director as Juan Antonio Bayona?

What would you say is your greatest achievement as an artist?
Being in that an amazing movie! It’s my greatest achievement
And your biggest dream?
To keep working as an actor! That’s my dream.

Could you tell us about an upcoming project you are excited about?
So far, I am doing castings, so I don’t have any upcoming projects yet.
