The date night comes as rumors swirl about a rift between Lively and longtime friend Taylor Swift.

Blake Lively (37) sought comfort close to home on Sunday night, stepping out for a quiet evening in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood with her husband, Ryan Reynolds (48).
The “Gossip Girl” star appeared to be keeping things low-key following a DailyMail.com report claiming that Swift is “done” with the friendship. A source told the outlet that the pop star felt “exploited” by Lively, adding fuel to recent tensions between the once-tight pair.
Blake and Ryan’s outing seemed to be just the two of them, though Lively has recently been spending time with her sisters and actress Salma Hayek, suggesting a reconfiguration of her once-famous inner circle.
Bad Blood
The alleged falling-out follows an earlier report that Blake had threatened to release private text messages from Swift unless the singer publicly supported her in an ongoing legal dispute with “It Ends With Us” co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
According to a court filing submitted Wednesday by Baldoni’s legal team, Blake allegedly pressured Swift to issue a statement backing her in the feud and encouraged the singer to delete text messages related to the matter.
The claims were included in a legal letter responding to Lively’s attempt to block a subpoena involving Swift.
The couple’s outing appears to be a statement of normalcy amid the speculation. On Friday, Lively cryptically teased fans on social media with the message, “something is coming,” without addressing the swirling rumors about her friendship with Swift.
Last week, DailyMail.com revealed that the superstar singer was left devastated when she was subpoenaed as a witness in the case.
Despite putting on a brave face in Philadelphia a couple weeks ago—reportedly joining her boyfriend Travis Kelce and their respective moms for a Mother’s Day lunch—it is understood that Swift has been ‘completely floored’ by the legal escalation and is now ‘very upset.’

They Never Go Out Of Style
Blake and Ryan projected a united and relaxed front regardless of the controversy. Lively opted for a breezy, summer look, wearing a white floral sundress paired with cheetah-print Louboutin heels and a white denim jacket. She added a pop of color with a small rhinestone-covered handbag in pink, red, and purple tones.
Ryan complemented her light look with a cream patterned camp shirt over a white tank top, black drawstring pants, white high-top sneakers, and stylish round-framed glasses.
Legal Battle Updates
Taylor Swift has been officially taken out of the legal case between Blake and Justin Baldoni, as his lawyers have withdrawn the subpoena that initially dragged her into this mess.
“We are pleased that Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer Parties have withdrawn their harassing subpoenas to Taylor Swift and her law firm,” the spokesperson said in a statement to Variety on May 22.
“We supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process.”
Baldoni and Lively’s legal trial is set for March 2026 in New York City.
