Benson Boone’s American Heart world tour was suddenly stopped a few days ago. The Beautiful Things artist announced that he had to cancel his show in Birmingham just an hour before starting. Moreover, he admitted that this tough decision was due to a vocal issue.
Boone reported in his socials the cancellation of his show saying: “Birmingham I am so so sorry but I will not be able to perform tonight. I have tried everything I can to revie my voice, but I cannot give you the show I’d like to be able to give you with the condition of my throat right now.”
Furthermore, he commented on the show’s postponement and to be back right away. “I am working with my team to find a date to reschedule as soon as possible. This is genuinely the crappiest feeling, I am so sorry. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I’ll update you guys as soon as I can. Thank you for everything you do. I love you guys so much”, added the American rising star.
On the other hand, the Utilita Arena, venue where he was supposed to perform in, also released a statement to clear the air. They confirmed the concert’s cancellation and that they were “working through all possible options to reschedule”. The Utilita Arena talked to fans saying, “we understand how disappointing this is and sincerely apologize for the extremely short notice and inconvenience caused”.
Fans were shocked when reading the sudden announcement. “That’s what I’m worried about the most for him — long-term damage to his vocal cords if he forces himself to perform,” one fan wrote on X. “He needs to rest and get the best care possible right now.”
