On February 13, 2026, she launched the album’s first single I Like You Better Than Me. This new track acts as a preview for what is to come next. An honest reflection about insecurities and comparing herself to others are some of the thoughts present throughout the track. Her latest dance-pop production comes in frame to show us another version of Bebe Rexha we all know. She also mentions the constant pressure that she feels in the music industry.
(I like you better than me/ I wish that I could fit in those size-two jeans/ My God, just look at that face/ I hate myself for feeling this way, yeah/ What’s it like inside your brain?/ I bet another perfect day/ I wish I didn’t feel this way, yeah, yeah, yeah/ I like you better than me […] I’m so stupid, don’t know why I do this/ I get off on being insecure/ And my delusions feed on your illusions/ Yeah, there’s something wrong with me for sure) – Bebe Rexha on I Like You Better Than Me.
Not so long ago, Bebe announced that she was going to leave Warner. According to some sources, the Say My Name singer had been feeling limited within the label. The tension and creative disagreements led to the parting of the artist from the known record. That is why, at the beginning of 2026 she chose to sign with the indie discography Empire. Even though Bebe had great global hits like Meant to Be and I’m Good (Blue) at Warner, she admitted it was time to go.
Bebe Rexha talked to Billboard about how this change has impacted her and her music. “I feel like a lot of people, they saw me through this lens of when I was trying to be, like, this perfect, clean-girl pop star,” Rexha says. “When you’re signed to a major, it’s a little bit stressful, you know? ‘Cause you’re trying to always make everybody else happy. A lot of the big songs that I had, too, were always in my computer — I’d always written them — and they were all basically ‘No’s’ from whichever label I was at.”
At the same interview with Billboard, Bebe Rexha talked about what her new disc means to her. “I worked so hard on this album. It’s been three years now, and every song is so important me. They’re like your babies, you know? I don’t want to be conformed by a certain sound or certain boundaries.”
