FC Barcelona had an unforgettable night at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, beating Real Madrid 5-2 and lifting the Spanish Super Cup trophy. Hansi Flick’s team showed their quality and ability to react, overcoming an early goal by Los Merengues to take the title.
Real Madrid started strongly and quickly took the lead. In just the 5th minute, Kylian Mbappé capitalised on a defensive error and beat goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, putting Los Blancos ahead.
However, this early blow did not discourage Barcelona, who began to find their rhythm and put pressure on the goal defended by Thibaut Courtois.
The Blaugrana response came quickly. In the 22nd minute, Lamine Yamal, one of the Catalan club’s most promising youngsters, took advantage of his speed to equalise the score after a run down the right wing. The equaliser revitalised Barcelona, who did not let go of control of the match.

The comeback was consolidated in the 36th minute, when Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty that had been called for a foul inside the area. The Polish striker did not miss and made it 2-1 on the scoreboard.
Barcelona’s constant pressure led to another goal just three minutes later. Raphinha, with a powerful shot, increased the lead in the 39th minute.
Real Madrid, disconcerted and without a response to the offensive onslaught of their rivals, received a final blow before the break. Alejandro Baldé, after a collective play, sealed the fourth goal for the Catalans in the 45+10th minute, leaving the white team with little hope for the second half.
The second half did not bring significant changes in the development of the match. Barcelona continued to impose their dominance, and in the 48th minute, Raphinha scored his double after a great individual play, putting the score at 5-1 and sealing the match.

Despite the disadvantage, Real Madrid tried to close the gap in the final minutes. The expulsion of the Barcelona goalkeeper, after an action that left the team with 10 men, gave a slight hope to the whites. Rodrygo took advantage of the opportunity and scored the second goal for Madrid, establishing the final 5-2
With this victory, Barcelona reaffirms its importance in Spanish and European football, adding a new title to its trophy cabinet and making it clear that it is willing to fight for everything this season. The Spanish Super Cup remains in the hands of the Blaugrana after a match that the culé fans will not forget.
