5 Seconds of Summer latest album Everyone’s a Star was just released, and it became a top-charter. The Australian pop rock band launched their sixth studio album on November 14, 2025.
Everyone’s a Star is 5SOS’s comeback to music since their latest album drop in September 2022. This album release comes after the launch of NOT OK, the main single of the new disc. Boyband and Telephone Busy were the other singles that the band released after.
5SOS’s latest album is such a hit that it is going up charts rapidly. Forbes talked about this fast run on an article that says: “Everyone’s a Star! is a quick winner on charts all around the world, and in the United States, the set launches within the top 10 on multiple tallies. Everyone’s a Star! even manages to bring 5 Seconds of Summer to a never-before-seen high on one list, earning the troupe its first ever leader on one competitive chart.”
Furthermore, the well-known American media and publishing company remarked this astonishing moment declaring: “As Everyone’s a Star! debuts as the bestselling vinyl record in America, 5 Seconds of Summer earns its first No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart. The group has placed six collections on the roster, and all but one have spent time inside the top 10.”
New Album Rumors
The new LP’s release does not come as such a surprise, since two of the band’s members hinted the possibility. Even though 5SOS’s members have launched music as solo artists, they have not refused to work together for another time.
On his part, bassist Calum Hood spoke about their upcoming projects in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying: “We’re always planning. The 5SOS cog in the music world never stops. In fact, it’s probably the hardest-working cog,” he said. “There’s always conversations going. There’s always people dreaming up things – ‘What if we do this, what if we do that?’ So fear not, because there’s always something going on.”
Guitarist Michael Clifford also teased fans with a potential band reunion: “I’m so proud to be a part of a band that’s able to do stuff that’s scary, and I’m also proud to even just know the guys because they also release dope fucking music,” he commented. “I think that’s the thing that’s most exciting about the next 5SOS record – nobody has a fucking clue”, the Australian artist said.

According to ABC’s critics, 5SOS’s new production is one of the best launches of the month. “They interrogate that legacy on the chart-topping, stylishly self-aware Everyone’s A Star, reinventing themselves on bombastic songs gilded with flashy synths, gutsier guitars and propulsive, electronic-assisted drums”, ABC admitted.
“Channeling the freewheeling spirit of K-pop or Gorillaz, they tap influences outside the top 40 eco-sphere to add grit to their traditionally commercial sound”, ABC added. Moreover, in order to continue this new musical wave, the band announced their new world tour. The Everyone’s a Star will kick off next year and will be stopping across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
